"I started with Scotland Manufacturing in 2015 to work with the quality organization. Quality grows deep within the company’s roots. The emphasis is to delight the customer with products that meets all their expectations. There is a saying here at Scotland Manufacturing, “Do it right the first time”. This though is something that every employee at Scotland strives for and it has a big impact on cost, productivity and of course quality. A company that ensures the quality for its customers, and safety and well being of its employees secures its own future and Scotland Manufacturing meets these goals. I am Tony Rooks and I am glad that I am a part of this growing organization."

Product Quality

Quality is not just another department at Scotland Manufacturing; it is encouraged in all areas of the organization.

Scotland Manufacturing's Quality Control structure begins with ISO 9001 as its foundation. ISO 9001 provides the framework to develop systems to support customer demands. Through performance metrics, internal and external audits, and formalized management reviews, manufacturing procedures are continually updated and expanded.

Product Quality is achieved through the development of robust processes and detailed inspection procedures. An on-site Quality Assurance Lab uses the latest advanced inspection equipment, while key product features are monitored and controlled using statistical process control (SPC) charts.

An employee-driven Quality Improvement Program accepts ideas for improvement in quality, cost, efficiency, and process development from all areas of the company.

Quality Engineers are involved in every aspect of a customer project. They contribute ideas in the quoting stage and support design changes and product launches (PPAP); and are responsible for control plans, PFMEA, gauge requirements, capability studies, material standards, and outside supplier qualification.

Critical Supply Chain Management integrates our raw material suppliers with our manufacturing processes to reduce inventory and lead time. Our logistics team is committed to continuously improving customer response. Planning and scheduling systems are designed to provide 100% on-time delivery.
